This song came out of my Songwriters Group. The topic was "In my own voice" which I twisted a bit. It made me think of the old RCA Victor label with the dog listening to his master's voice on the Victrola. That made me think of the man invented the Victrola and sound recording, Thomas Edison. Little known fact his earliest recordings were on wax cylinders that look a little like candles. This where I got the concepts for this song. Also the voice at the beginning is that of Thomas Edison himself reciting Mary Had A Little Lamb & that was the first sound recording ever!
